Review on Black Weston Number 8 Electric Meat Grinder and Sausage Stuffer, 575W by Janet Hernandez

Deafening but effective

I like to make my own homemade sausage, usually pork but sometimes chicken. This is great stuff, and the Kitchen Aid chopper attachment for our blender makes it pretty easy. At least I thought so. I had no idea what easy could be. That is amazing. So incredibly fast. He ground meat faster than I could serve it. We shredded about four pounds of meat (hamburger fillets in this case) in under four minutes. Our old blender isn't nearly as fast. It was easy to assemble and easy to clean. The only problem was: it was noisy. It was very loud. So loud that I had to wear hearing protection. Now I'm not overly sensitive to noise and it's not THAT much louder than Kitchen Aid, but I really wish they would add some soundproofing or something. That. I also want the controls to be somewhere else and not where they are. The top or front would be much more accessible if the unit wasn't facing you (and in my case, thanks to the design of our kitchen, it can really only face one way). Those complaints aside, I'm actually really happy with it. We used it for burgers this time but can't wait to make our next batch of sausages!
