I don't usually write reviews and was skeptical about buying secondary phase shifters after reading several reviews on other and various websites. The most common cause of cam failures is oil pressure problems. This was bought for a car in unknown condition so I didn't want to put a ton of money into it trying to get it running. We installed this kit, another oil pump (m360) and also removed the oil pan to clear the screen and pan from the broken chain guides. During installation I tightened the cam phaser slightly more than recommended. Before installing the valve covers, I filled everything with oil. Since installation, the car has driven 1000 km without any problems. Whether you're buying aftermarket or OEM, do yourself a favor and clean your oil pan. The oil level gauge on these cars is a simple on/off switch with a dummy gauge that doesn't read about 7psi or about 1/2 on the gauge when it's higher. The phase shifter needs about 28psi to function properly. You may appear to have the correct oil pressure even when the flow is severely restricted. The picture shows what plastic (metal from the chain hitting the timing cover) was removed from the oil pan - only the top and a quarter of the oil pan screen/bottom was in the oil pan. Unless you're cleaning the pan and spending your screen time. My only criticism of this or any other kit is that they should include an oil pan gasket (indicates you should take the pan out) as I think a full kit will eliminate most of the negative reviews. Will update if they go out at short notice, but so far so good.
