The thermometer is a great idea. However, the silicone heats up and if you have to constantly stir the lollipops at 300 degrees for 15 minutes, you get a sore spot on your finger that wraps around the spatula. What's great is that you always take the temperature on the lollipop and not the side or bottom of the pan as the silicone mount keeps the thermometer away from the sides and bottom. Easy to read when held at the right angle to avoid glare from the light. I will continue to use it as I prefer its temperature accuracy over a regular candy thermometer, but will use an oven mitt or something to keep it stirring in the future.
