really good steel but they all arrived with tiny bits and stuff that needed sharpening but it was minor and in 3 minutes I got them with one Ax hand sharpened wash stone and they were all sharp and then I cut them with leather and they have withstood abuse and use for 2 days and my 1 inch is still as sharp as before. The bits are a good weight and feel and I'm very happy with them for $22, but you need to be sure that they actually work out of the box. overall happier maintaining an American brand and they're easily three times stronger than a cheap no-name Chinese chisel and look like they'll last a long, long time unlike the communist alternative. thanks bucks brothers my chisels shave well for japanese carpentry projects
