The feature of this tool that attracted me is the built-in flashlight. Nothing is more frustrating than fumbling around with a flashlight and dipstick. The "scope" function is handy to see if there's a train of pulses somewhere, but I'm pretty sure it has no authority to allow fast bursts. As an added benefit, it also works with 6V systems, which is handy. for vintage cars.
