Review on πŸͺš QLOUNI Hardwood Plywood Plastic Augers by David Boone

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Bent on first use, drilled through wood shelf

Being somewhat environmentally conscious, I am frustrated that companies make poor quality products that end up in landfills. I had to believe other reviews. These drill bits are awful, I wasted an hour of my life drilling two simple holes to use the '7' Floating Shelf Bracket' for the shelf, it takes a longer drill bit than normal to mount the shelf mount. They don't drill straight because they are brittle. The largest and thickest part was slightly bent when first used, I was able to bend it back by hand. The drill bit doesn't make a hole, it makes a corkscrew-like hole, making this drill bit more like a screw drill than a screw what a regular hole drill looks like if that makes sense, let me explain - when you're drilling a hole, if you take the same thing off a drill bit and put it in the hole by hand, it won't go in unless you rotate it like a screw In the end I gave up, I'll get it back.

Pros
  • Brad point drill bit
Cons
  • Damaged
