Soooo. I love making shaker cards and thought this little tool would simplify the process, also I've seen other cute things made with this tool (on youtube) that I wanted to try (shaker bookmarks, pocket letters, etc.). I started having problems with this thing almost immediately. A melting tip (the one that rolls) is a tip used to melt the sides of shaker bags and the like. Well, I couldn't get this tool (the tip of the spinning wheel to be precise) to work stably. Sometimes the wheel stops turning and just grinds along the plastic, leaving ugly marks and ruining my projects. Other times the wheel rolls, then jumps, jumps, rolls, then jumps, etc., so I end up with big smudges of sweat on my pockets. Not sure what's going on because the wheel isn't tight or too tight - it doesn't interfere with rolling in any way. After researching a little more, I found others with this problem. Some people say that if the tool gets too hot, the wheel stops turning, and some people say that the type of acetate used has a lot to do with whether it works or not. Tried with different types of acetate but not with the proprietary WRMK. I'll try some of these and see if it works. If so, I will change this rating. Another thing is that a few days after I got the backup tool I saw a much better/easier technique for making shaker bags. What a pity. This is a shabby purchase that I sincerely regret. If you're considering this tool, my advice is to ditch it and buy something you're sure you'll love.
