There are some tips I want to give you when using this

Very similar to the Royal version, this is a 'must have' for anyone who wants clean, compact, center draw balls of yarn. Having wound at least a thousand of these over the last eight years (no exaggeration) I would like to share some tips on using this winding. Make sure you put the wire lever in the correct position. (Read the instructions, they'll help.) 2. If you're using a small piece of fluorescent tape (just tear it into small pieces and tape it to the edge of your work surface) to hold the starting end, you can just pull /roll it around this end, so it can be found easily when it's time to use it.3. Without discarding the outer wrap of your yarn, fold and insert into the center of the yarn ball as you pull it off the spindle. This serves two purposes: it helps keep the center stable and it is easily accessible for future reference. (Be sure to pull it out before using the yarn as it will catch on the thread when you pull it. 4. While winding with one hand, use the other to ease the tension (firm but light) on the yarn hold enters (about 5-10" from the metal guide) This helps in many ways - smaller, tighter balls of yarn, faster detection of knots and yarn retention on the spindle, especially when winding "slippery" yarn in wind, start slow for the first five or so turns, and then increase the speed. . Finally, you can either tuck the yarn in from the outside to hold it in place, or use your crochet hook to pull it through the outside of the ball more securely. This wrap does the job really well, but like everything, it has its limitations - if you put too much on a single skein, the outer strands of yarn will do one of three things: slip and tangle underneath, catch on a wire lever, or slip off , when you take the ball out of the winder.7. Some strands of yarn are best pulled from the center when wrapping, others from the outside. If you pull from the outside, the strand will bounce all over the place as it winds up. I have found that when the skein is placed on the floor in a deep bowl, won't pick up unwanted debris or fibers from the carpet/floor while dancing. hope it was helpful.
