DOES WHAT IT SAYS, IT WILL DO

This top-down oil recovery pump works as described. Gets the job done quickly without getting a bunch of tools, jack, jack, oil pan and the like or crawling under the car. If you use it for its intended purpose, it will get the job done. 1) The machine is warmed up, the oil must be hot, otherwise it will not work efficiently. 2) Remove dipstick, insert thinner suction tube. 3) Put the pressure line in a suitable container. I find that 1 gallon butter, milk, orange juice, or iced tea pitchers work well and are easy to get at a recycling station. 4) Connect the cables to the battery, start the pump. Be careful not to drop the pitcher or you'll make a mess in your driveway! The pump is self-priming. So as soon as you insert the suction tube into the dipstick tube and start the pump, the oil will start to be pumped out. As the oil is pumped in, the somewhat stiff suction tube softens, allowing you to push it further into the dipstick tube and possibly lay it on the bottom of the oil pan. remove more oil. You'll be done in about 5 minutes. Remove the tubes from the dipstick and jug with a rag or paper towel to catch any drips. Change filter, top up oil if necessary, replace dipstick, check for leaks. AND DONE!
