Review on πŸš— Heavy-Duty Expandable Car Clothes Hanger Bar with High Road by Geoff Yates

Revainrating 4 out of 5

You must get this!

This was my second order for this strip. My order was missing a bar, but I was so exhausted from shopping and vacationing that I hadn't contacted anyone yet. I gave away 8 of them for Christmas. The High Road clothing bar itself is amazing. Both the materials and the workmanship are of the highest quality. End hooks are more than just great because their flexibility allows the handlebar to work with any vehicle structure. Every family and especially every student needs something like this. I've had a similar one for over 30 years and use it countless times for house moves, long car rides, special occasions like weddings where I didn't want my clothes to wrinkle. I will add that there is no practical storage aid. Because of the spring and two-piece construction, it will fall apart if you pick it up at the "wrong" end. I suggest buying or ordering a 36" x 3" postal tube with end caps at the same time to use for storage. In my opinion the perfect mobile clothes rail. Highly recommended as a gift and very well received. Now that I've sung my well-deserved praise, there's a little caveat. Wonderful clothes rail smells awful when first opened. Really strong, unpleasant rubber smell. Airing my first order on Screen Porch for over a month hasn't lessened the problem. I sure wouldn't want my clothes hanging on a smelly thing like that; Also, I don't think anyone could drive far in their car with that smell. I want to exaggerate. Not me. So I bought a can of Fabreeze for each of the 8 bars I gave away. Aside from being a fun Christmas present, I found on Christmas Eve that dryer sheets and Fabreeze seemed to solve the problem! Thank goodness the rubber smell doesn't permanently ruin an otherwise solid, flawless product. Just don't plan on using it the first day you receive it: open it, take it out of the plastic sleeve and air it with nice-smelling products. Ideal. (Slightly more than 5 stars if it weren't for the smell problem.)
