The quality of the camera recordings is good. I can definitely read license plates from videos comfortably. Night vision is decent when the area is lit, otherwise don't expect good low-light detail. Navigating the camera's menus was easy, and the screen was a decent sized 2.7 inches. I started with the internal rear camera but quickly switched to the external one, which was much better with no reflections or distortion from the rear window. I noticed that the Android app doesn't show the video when my memory card is full, but everything else works. Basically, when the memory card is full, you cannot access the video library from the app. It messes up the overall impression for me, hence the low overall ratings. Without the app, the whole experience is meaningless! TimaCam works like an alternative app, but much slower and does not display the image in real time! The camera is sleeping mode, which I don't see any mention of. When wired, as soon as the engine shuts off, the loop recording will stop and the camera will go to sleep with parking mode active (if enabled). To continue loop recording, just press the power button By the way, nice feature. I want to love this dash cam but I can't recommend it because if the application doesn't work then it all means nothing to me. I contact support but it takes a long time to reply and I haven't received a workable solution. Otherwise I don't know if I just got a lemon! But I'll definitely get it back before the window closes if no resolution comes up. By the way, I use the 256GB Kingston Canvas go memory card recommended by Rexing!
