They are perfect for my application. I need to add padding. I also need to change the lug pattern for the locks I use. I've used them in the past and never had a single problem. I read several negative reviews. I think it's just bad installation. I've been using them on my Jeep for three years now and they've taken a bit of abuse. I would not recommend using screw lock. Just tighten them properly. Or you buy new ones to replace the ones you cut off. Yes, that's why I ordered another set.
