To keep the good bacteria in your aquarium, this item is a must have for your HOB filter. It was easy to use. Simply place the bags on the AquaClear filter. There is literally no need to flush other than the occasional stale aquarium water when changing the water. I've had my bags for over a year now and although the color of the elements is no longer white they still serve their purpose. I recommend having.
