After some searching I was very happy to order this set. However, when I finally decided to use it, one of the pens pushed back into the plastic grip with minimal effort. Several other tools I've used have bent as if they were mild steel. They have nothing hardened or strong. You can also use paperclips. I was so excited about this beautiful set that it was quite disappointing to see how the metal parts were actually made. Also, there are many very rough machining/sanding marks on real instruments, so nothing is certain about their nature. On the one hand I know that it is not as expensive as some tools and I do not expect perfection. But if the maker is reading this, please strengthen your steel and don't make it ridiculously weak.
