abominable. Terrible quality.

Cons: There are many 1) If you plan to record more than an hour at a time, this recorder splits your video files into one-hour segments and you lose a few frames between each split. You MUST use an editing program to join two or more video files back together. annoys. 2) The sound is of very poor quality and at low volume. Even with the highest recording quality, the audio sounds terribly compressed and bad. You'll get a constant hiss/noise on even the best shots. 3) If we talk about the highest quality of recording, then that's rubbish too. There are too many codec errors. Huge chunks of footage start glitching for a split second or two. 4) You cannot control what frame rate you can record at. It's all 60fps. 5) The charging cable is very proprietary. You can't just grab a USB power adapter and use it. Pros: 1) I like the battery idea. It drops to about 66% after about an hour, so doesn't last long. 2) The selection of removable SDHC cards is good. 3) Good built-in screen. 4) The build quality is really solid and feels good in the hand. Final Thoughts: 1) Someone here in a customer review said it was "intended for the pro", which is absolutely NOT TRUE. If you want to see what's really "professional" buy an Atomos and see what's really meant for professional use. If you plan to use this for paid work, as a customer I would be disappointed with the quality of the end product. Even if you just send the recording directly to the client, it doesn't even qualify for the final codec. So don't expect notes and try to edit and color correct your footage. Do yourself a favor and save up for Atomos, which gives you 10x the quality.
