Good device with reservations

The purpose of buying this device was to record while vaping on Facebook, for USB 2.0 this device cannot do that. Audio and video playback on the device doesn't sync to the screen above 720p, but the recorded files are good. The RCA input works great. The SD card is of the SDXC type and was inserted upside down. The output speaker is not very good, the sound is very "canned", sounds worse than the AM radio. The headphone jack works but is cranky. You need an HDMI adapter if your inputs are mini

Damn how I love this device!

I've been looking for an HDMI recorder for years and this one suits me. I've only had it for a few days and already want to buy another one (don't know for what) :-) Here's what I tested it with: 1) Connected to HDMI from a Lenovo Linux/Windows computer as well as a Macbook Pro. The recorded video was very good. 2) An external headphone connected to a microphone/speaker and recorded by the computer. The sound from the microphone combined perfectly with the video - very useful for classroom…

Much better than Legacy Box

This unit allowed me to capture raw video from my compact VCR and convert it to MP4 format. I'm sure Legacy Box or other similar services will at least do that. But after converting them to MP4 format, I was able to edit them in Adobe Premiere Elements, add titles, special graphics, special effects, etc. It's a personal and stylistic matter that changes with each recording. A conversion service cannot offer this. I had 77 compact cartridges. (See photo) The conversion service would have cost…

Nice Device - Internal TV Tuner and Capture Cards

I have another ClearClick (ClearClick Video to Digital Converter 2.0) that uses RCA connectors instead of HDMI. So I wanted to see if this model would be the best option for me. I was expecting it to be the same in setup and basic use, but it differs in that it's geared more towards live presentations and short recordings, as this one has a built-in battery unlike the other devices. And when it's empty - even when plugged into a power source - it'll still turn itself off without much warning…

Not for everyone

I was thinking about buying Atomos Ninja Flame 7 which sells for around $700 at a professional clay photo boutique. I'm going to Revain to buy a 4K Blu-ray player. And I got curious, so I checked out the Ninja Prize at Revain. In my opinion, ClearClick HD is the best way to record videos. Features: 1080p video resolution, 60 fps frame rate. It's about! 3.5 inch display preview. The storage can be a flash drive, hard drive or HQ SD card. Price under $200? i order it The seller sends it to me in…

abominable. Terrible quality.

Cons: There are many 1) If you plan to record more than an hour at a time, this recorder splits your video files into one-hour segments and you lose a few frames between each split. You MUST use an editing program to join two or more video files back together. annoys. 2) The sound is of very poor quality and at low volume. Even with the highest recording quality, the audio sounds terribly compressed and bad. You'll get a constant hiss/noise on even the best shots. 3) If we talk about the…

Not thrilled at $200

I feel like this $200 DVR lacks features for such a high price. However, I'm keeping it because of these PROS: The video quality is top notch (and even has 5 different video quality settings) so I have confidence in encoding old VHS media, old 8mm camcorders, etc. that I want to keep. in maximum quality. Another plus is that I like to schedule a recording with a timer and just mark the day of the week. This works for my use case (I like a show that airs at the same time on Thursdays and…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No form required

Unfortunately, this device offers an extremely narrow range of 3 1080p capture bit rates: around 22 Mbps maximum and 18 Mbps minimum. The quality of the captured image between the 3 bit rate settings is almost indistinguishable from each other. This destroys the value of several acquisition bitrates when the minimum setting has almost the same Q result image and file size as the maximum setting. The file size limit of just under 4MB is a problem, at least 2hi. The most serious problem is that…
