I have another ClearClick (ClearClick Video to Digital Converter 2.0) that uses RCA connectors instead of HDMI. So I wanted to see if this model would be the best option for me. I was expecting it to be the same in setup and basic use, but it differs in that it's geared more towards live presentations and short recordings, as this one has a built-in battery unlike the other devices. And when it's empty - even when plugged into a power source - it'll still turn itself off without much warning. Of course, I undercharged it before using it, but I don't like being a battery slave if I can help, and I was disappointed that this unit shut down despite being plugged into the mains. I wanted something I could record hours (or more) of video with, something I could record on my own without having to worry about it for too long. This one didn't suit me. However, the picture and sound quality are fantastic, much better than the other ClearClicks I have. Note that the file size for 20 minutes of video (mp4) is around 4GB. Another nice feature is that it has an input for RCA cables if required, but they all plug into a little combo jack (cables included).
