This fits my needs well. I work on solar energy, so using a WiFi router is just a waste of energy for me. I have a new computer without an ethernet port, so I decided to get a USB adapter and became aware of this product. The machine also only has 2 USB ports, and I prefer an external mouse and keyboard while I work, so this kills two birds with one stone for an Ethernet adapter. Great offer. It works plug and play with Linux Mint, no drivers are needed and I'm sure it will be the same with Windows. It supports an external power supply to power the bus, but does not include an adapter for it. It's nice to have this option, especially at this price point. I have some old wall warts laying around, maybe I have one with a 5V output and the right connection. (This is a barrel connector, too bad they didn't make a micro USB)
