I have tried several products to remove moldy smell from spoons. The spoons were tied together with leather that appeared to be molded. I immediately cut the tie off not realizing the mold/odor had gotten into the spoons. After trying several cleaning products to get rid of the smell, spoons can no longer be used. It was very disappointing that the spoons were bound with leather while a non-porous binding would have been better. For an asthmatic, this is a health issue. When I originally kept the spoons in the closet, after removing the tie, the closet started to smell musty. Very disappointed to see them on my favorite FB page and looking forward to using them.
