We bought this item because it offers decanters and individual Kcup options. Initially this worked as advertised; but this morning (12/21/17) we had problems with a cup. Not sure how to describe what's going on, but it seems like the KCups are overflowing and the coffee grounds are making a complete mess. Look carefully at the picture. You will see the water and coffee grounds flow over the rim/seam of the KCup. We tried to remove the limescale, although the cleaning indicator did not light up. We also tried cleaning the top piercing needle with a paper clip. Finally, as suggested, we tried installing KCup before closing the group head. Nothing worked. We bought this as we have a son and daughter in law (who are US Air Force aviators) after 6 months of service in Southeast Asia and our daughter who works in NYC is stopping over for Christmas. Glad we saved Krurig. What a waste of money. Based on other customers' feedback, Cuisinart has many problems to solve with this product because it doesn't always work as advertised. They should also work on customer service based on the comments from most of the customers who left reviews.
