I see. Don't go to discount stores and buy one of their replacement parts, go for this. My husband has a 2005 Cadillac CTS and the old cap came off. We replaced it with a replacement part from a local auto parts store. During the week it was almost impossible to remove. We had to find a way to bend the lid to break the seal. I went online and ordered this one. It costs the same as the other, but it's exactly the same as the original and works the same way. He had no problem putting the cap on tightly, but he had no problem taking it off either. Don't waste time sourcing spare parts from auto parts stores, buy this one. It's worth it.
