What I needed

I ordered this item for a very different reason than usual and such. I needed a good, strong, STRONG piece of wood (or metal) to raise the flag 2-1/2 inches under its base to line up with the other flag. The bar was shorter by up to 2.5 inches and could not be raised by simply pulling it up and securing it with a screw; it wouldn't last. I ordered this piece of fine wood because it suited my needs, but I was afraid it might not be strong enough to support the weight of the flagpole. It turned out great! Many Thanks. I no longer get annoyed by two pillars of different heights.

Its a block of wood, but it is a very hard and not good for carving.
