Review on A17051500Ux1399 Distributor Chevrolet Avalanche Silverado by Rudolph Mceachern

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Odd fit (cap shrunk/deformed after molding) and wrong screws included.

Bought this distributor cap for a GMT400 5.7 V8. The first broke during installation, found it was too small to fit on the manifold plate, and snapped off the screw hole. The second attempt seems to have worked, you need to carefully heat and attach the cover. Advantages - price, brass contacts. Cons - The cover must have shrunk during the cooling process, its size is about 1/8 inch smaller than the manifold screw holes. . I was able to warm it up and put it on the distributor. It might be interesting to take it back. Also, the cover comes with wrong pitch screws, ditch them and use the original screws.

Pros
  • Distributor and parts
Cons
  • Not sure
