These liangery scissors are exactly what I always wanted in sewing scissors. This is a very professional, heavy duty pair of scissors that are not only very beautiful. In addition, they are ultra-sharp. When cutting through fabric with them, all you can hear is a clear, razor-sharp sound as they cut through the fabric. These scissors should stay that way as they are made from manganese steel which is notoriously harder than stainless steel. Because of this, they are more resistant to tarnishing. These shears are 8.4 inches long with blades that are just over 3 inches long. The blades are also rust resistant. I particularly like that these scissors have an ergonomic design. The lower knife is parallel to the cutting surface for more precision when cutting. I've always heard that this is important in good scissors. I've also heard that on a good pair of scissors, the top hole is for the thumb and the rest of the fingers should fit comfortably in the bottom finger hole. And my four fingers fit in easily. I've never had scissors like this before. It feels really good and not that tiring to use. Also, the handles are covered with silicone, which makes them very comfortable and non-slip. I haven't found anything I don't like about these scissors. At first I thought that the heavier weight of the metal might be too much for me. However, due to their ergonomic properties, they make it easier to cut through material. My arm rests on the table while cutting, rather than being raised a few inches above the table, which tires the arm. The designer of these scissors has thought of everything. I definitely give these scissors 5 stars! I would recommend them to anyone who loves to sew.
