Installation takes about 5 minutes; probably much less unless you are elderly, overweight and visually impaired. I tried the "race mode" first because I thought that would make the biggest difference, and I was surprised when I saw my truck fly out of the driveway. Sport mode is an acceptable performance increase for me. I did notice a difference in economy mode, but most of the time I drive 4 miles both ways in traffic, so I don't expect to see much at once anyway. As for the cons; All I can say is that the display is dark in daylight, but that keeps me from changing modes while driving.
