Review on πŸ”© Enhance Precision with NordWolf 12 Piece Titanium Countersink Automatic Set by Andrew Enriquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good starter kit, intermediate amateur level

A cheap tool in a box is better than an expensive tool in a store. There's nothing wrong with pushing budget tools until they ruin the project or turn out to be a waste of money by failing prematurely. Although the Nordwolf name suggests hardened German instruments that will last for generations, it is 100% made in China. It's not a deal breaker, but I want to mention it. I'm not a metalworker. I take my small steps and try to do things right. They do a great job with the range I use them on. That means weekly more than daily and with tolerances that are pleasing to the eye and not terrifying to the mechanic. It's not that bad. I'm not a fan of foam inserts but they hold everything in place. Step drills have two cutting edges, which is a good compromise for softer materials and good accuracy for harder metals. In general, the more grooves, the better the finish. Two is the lower limit, one is rare. The center kick is ok, just not very accurate. Sufficient for less precise work, such as drilling rivets. All other beats are good too. The price dictates a limited lifespan, but with a large amount of cutting fluid, they should have a long and stable lifespan. I took some photos. Hope it helps you to decide.
