1 " pin, not machined to 1 "

I planned to insert the pin through a 1" to 1-1/4" bushing to ensure a tight fit in the rod guarantee. However, the pin is not perfectly round and as such the highest points must be ground to actually fit the 1 inch diameter socket. then it fits well.
