Review on Vibrant Watercolor Pencils Set of 72 for Art Students, Professionals, and Coloring Pages – Ideal for Sketches, Drawings, and Kids & Adults' Coloring Books by Jennifer Roberts

I'm a caricaturist and have used several other brands of watercolor pencils before, but I needed a wider range of colors that were available more cheaply. It is great! I love how much control I can apply pigment with these watercolor pencils! See my attached photo for an idea of the colors included in the set of 72. Of course, the color fields in the photo are not touched by water. Once you add water, the color will become lighter and no longer grainy. I seem to have seen a review complaining about how fickle the markings are, meaning that after the watercolor has dried, re-wetting moves the pigment so it's not really bonded to the paper. I think this is a great feature because you don't have to apply the water very quickly for fear of creating a demarcation line where wet meets something less wet. Less persistence means more control over bug fixes and the like, in my opinion. I'm also a fan of triangular stems and design. Pencils fit perfectly in the hand and look pretty cool. I look forward to continuing to use them! :-D I don't really care about the cons, but I'll list them below for future buyers, just in case. 1) The plastic carrying case with retractable handle is really nifty, but the pen trays inside are a bit flimsy. /cheap 2) Particularly sharp tips tend to break and fly around the room lol 3) The color of the pencil body doesn't always exactly match the color of the pigment itself that the numbers don't follow any logic. For example, the green ones aren't all the numbers that are close together, but also the darker numbers above or something like that. I think the numbering system is completely random which seems like a missed opportunity. That's why I created the sample page that accompanies this review so I can create my own organizational system. It wasn't easy and took a while, but I'll just be careful not to mess up my newly installed pen sequence!
