The two sizes of leather patches (one about 5x3 and the other about 10x8) matched my leather La-Z-Boy in color and original appearance of the material. My advice to most people who are going to use this product is that you expect a much more aggressive adhesive material than what you are getting. This isn't a problem if you're wearing an adhesive available at Walmart and fabric stores called "E-6000". It comes in a tube like toothpaste and will never let you down if you use it judiciously (make sure it doesn't spill around the edges). Maybe just use the patch first as it is.
