We live 1/2 mile up the hill and through the woods from our post box. Neighborhood kids started stealing our mail and we looked for a solution. It was Mail Boss 7107. TheMail Boss is heavy so you may need help installing it. My husband pre-drilled holes for the base and then installed it with quality wood screws. It took several attempts to get the box to fit properly. You will know if this is correct when you can easily screw in the two high quality screws hidden behind the locked door that connects the box to the base. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into this product. For the first time in a long time we don't have to run downstairs to check our mail for fear someone will pick it up. At the height of the Christmas season at this time of year, the postman may be several hours late and we have no way of knowing. Now we don't have to worry anymore. I just have to remember to take my key with me when I go to get the mail. It only took a descent of 200ft 1/2 mile down and back to make sure I remember.
