I am a law student and it works great with my heavy hardcover textbooks. It's durable and fits all of my hardcover books. I missed that all my student life! It's amazing, I can't imagine my life without it! It has pen/marker pockets on both sides and small straps to take and move it without closing the book. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS THING! It's so convenient that I've used it on the couch, on the floor, at my desk while eating at the kitchen table, and while reading in bed. It really is the perfect study companion! I use it when writing this review on my laptop and I have a very large laptop and it fits perfectly. You need it in life if you are a student!
