Better design than the "Original " version

I had the "Original" version which is twice the price. The problem with them was that if you lost the little ring that kept the threaded part closed, the horse could easily pull on them and free itself. ie if it should open at 150 pounds with the ring, it will open at 5 pounds without it. These do not rely on a ring around the threaded part to keep it tightly closed. That way you get full power when the horse backs away out of fear, not mischief.
