Something about the blue ones, they're broken. Received on set, they didn't pair... exchanged for a new set and had the same problem. My pink and purple tones work well.

We have been using tear-off bow ties for almost 20 years. They are expensive and you have to buy two separate straps. This tie ring is a third cheaper. It works as advertised. We have no way of knowing how long this will last.

I think it will suit some horses. Mine is energetic and loves to play games. Once he figured out how to yank at it quickly, he began to unlock himself. Luckily he's not the type to run away. He just loves to keep opening it and then he looks for me to plug it back in so he can open it again.

I had the "Original" version which is twice the price. The problem with them was that if you lost the little ring that kept the threaded part closed, the horse could easily pull on them and free itself. ie if it should open at 150 pounds with the ring, it will open at 5 pounds without it. These do not rely on a ring around the threaded part to keep it tightly closed. That way you get full power when the horse backs away out of fear, not mischief.

I use it between the wall and the rope for my cross braces and ONLY yesterday it saved my horse from possible injuries. He was standing on the sills when my saddle fell off the rack beside him. He got startled and jumped hard to one side and the cross tie on this device detached allowing him to go off the road without injury but the other side remained connected as he did not pull on that side. I have a creepy horse that pulled his tie off a trailer, a trailer mind you that wasn't even mine. I decided to buy this for my scary boy. It works, he pulled on her to graze and she let go, but that's fine because I'd rather let him walk around a few feet than tie him up and fall to the ground or worse. Will not tear at right weight. I attached it as a single attachment and my pony reached out to forage on the ground and it came loose. I put it back on and continued the care. I went to clean her face and she lifted her head and came down. That thing comes off too easily. I fixed it by taping it off with duct tape.
