Over a year ago I installed a bidet in my toilet in my old house, a new heavy duty WOOD toilet seat Bought and it broke within a week. I chose Kohler, and since we have a pup who treats the toilet like his water bowl, I wanted something that would close smoothly. The night light is a bonus and it lasts quite a while, although sometimes you have to press a button on the back to activate it. Even with the bidet and next to the shower I had no problem getting my back wet. . However, I don't hose everything down with water either, because that's rarely good for the floor. I like the easy unlocking mechanism for cleaning (also good if you want to change batteries). The batteries work pretty well and the blue light works well with the seat up or down. First, it's a stable seat - using a bidet attachment raises the backrest, putting extra pressure on the seat. I'm not a little boy. and it handles my 300-pound weight with no problem when the wood seats snap and break. So, a year later and a new house later, and not only are we taking the old seat, we're taking the new one for the second bathroom! :)
