I wanted a chair that was fairly narrow (to fit more people around the dining table if needed) and that folds compactly when not in use. They were perfect for my needs. Keep in mind that there is no maximum weight capacity listed - these chairs are lightweight. I called the company and they told me the max load capacity is 200 pounds. This isn't a problem for me as I use seating charts when I have a lot of people so I can control who sits on it. But that's something you might want to keep in mind.
