Small and powerful. Like my more expensive 1000 lumen Big Blue flashlight

A little bit about me. I do a lot of wreck diving in the Great Lakes, searching for new wrecks and documenting known ones in person and with my ROV. (Check out Blueyes on Facebook below!) This lantern was given to me in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion on it. So here it is! + on the packaging. It comes with two batteries and a charger, although the flashlight only uses one battery. It's always great to have backup after a long deep dive through an old 19th century shipwreck! The charger is fine, but the battery needs to be inserted correctly to charge it properly. When the battery is charging there should be a red light, but if you smack the battery and push it away from the contacts, it will glow green as if it were fully charged when it isn't. It's okay if you know about it. The lamp is small and looks "hard"! I've placed it alongside my very similar and more expensive Big Blue 1000 lumen light source and it's identical in power and output on high, medium and low. The beam size is also identical. (think lightsaber) I've never used a wrist mount, but I really enjoyed it as my hands are still free to operate the rebreather and isolate the bottles if needed. The only thing I didn't really like about the light was the button. at the tail end. I carry a flashlight in my wetsuit pocket when I don't need it and it's often already on when I take it out to use it. It's fine if you dive with it on your wrist from the beginning or keep it in your hand throughout the dive. Profile button on top of flashlight, like my Big Blue. This is a great main flashlight for those looking for their first flashlight for exploring crevasses or dark shipwrecks, or as a backup for night/cave diving where multiple light sources are needed. in case one of them fails. I'll definitely keep it in my bag when I'm not using the big video lights on my camera!
