I really wanted these grips on my bike. My Brooks saddle has increased my enthusiasm for riding more than any other upgrade I've made to my bike. Unfortunately I had to take them off due to hand cramps. Others have complained that the leather rings shift while riding and it really depends on the humidity. I live in New Orleans. When I installed these grips, the leather rings moved fairly freely. After a night in my garage, the grips were so swollen from moisture that the leather rings were nice and tight. They stayed nice and tight until a cold front took the moisture out and the handles started moving again. It didn't really bother me and isn't the reason I took them off my bike. The problem I'm having could be related to my hands, but these grips were causing cramps in my hands. They're big and relatively stiff, but I think the thickness of the grip effectively reduces the length of the stem and shortens the reach of the bar. Whatever the reason, it only made the ride uncomfortable for more than short trips in the area. I can try thin Brooks pens, but at $80 a pair and my experience with these pens, I can't.
