My 5 year old is smaller than average at 40% height and 20% weight (39 lbs) - and he was the perfect size. If you are in the lowest seat, your feet will touch the floor perfectly. It's also light enough that she can handle it with ease. This is her first "big bike" so she had no experience with a big bike - we switched from a small 12" two wheeler to a 16" bike and it was a perfect fit. Because the seat moves up and down, she can grow even more with the bike. It's light enough for her to maneuver, so she drives it very confidently. We struggled to find a bike that was the right size for her height. Would definitely recommend getting one when upgrading bikes - it's great for small and big kids alike. TIP: Buy stands separately! We forgot!
