Based on several of Revain's comments on this product, I decided to add another brake light to my Chevy Silverado. I live on a college campus and when I have 50,000+ students driving gets a little crazy during a full session. So I will do my best to become more visible. This hitch mounted brake light does just that. As others have pointed out, I've also noticed that some drivers stop further behind me than usual. I assume this is because the brake light is lowest, in the hitch, and some people stop where they see the brake lights! Very easy to install BUT if you ride a GM product you will probably need a 4 wire adapter and while you are at it order either a 1 foot or 2 foot 4 wire extension. I had to use a 1 foot extension to install mine with a 4 wire plug adapter (GM uses a 7 pin round). The tail of the light was too short to curve under the bumper/trailer hitch and fit through the hole in the bumper where the plate is installed. I did NOT want to run the cable directly from the brake light to the adapter. I then used two black zip ties to secure the wiring to the hitch bars to keep them from hanging down. A NOTICE. There is a hole on the underside of the back of the brake light for the wiring to come out through. Be sure to pair with this hole on the bottom. Just in case water gets in.
