Attention, I did not get what I ordered.

Many other trailer lights only use one signal line. This is the main reason I ordered this unit as it has a running and separate brake light wire. However, when the package arrived I was quickly disappointed because they sent me a 2-wire device that only works with the right brake light, so flashes when your turn signals are on and obviously doesn't work in position light mode. Not the same as in the photo and not the same item. I'm not returning it for the price, but just wanted to warn you…

I'm disappointed. on lights and lighting accessories

The first light I ordered didn't work at all when I received it. I put a new bulb in and it only worked with the brake lights, not the tail lights. I called Bully and they said it should also work when the lights come on and get brighter when you hit the brakes. I sent a light back to Revane and another light was sent. The new light only works when the brake is applied. I still have the 2nd light and I don't think I could get 2 faulty lights in a row. It just doesn't work the way the…

Seems to work but: Lighting and lighting accessories

Only 3 stars because firstly the foam pad is not wide enough to seal the unit to the receiver so it rattles a bit. 2. Part of the overall wiring. was just long enough to get to the connector on my bumper. Third, I keep getting these messages on the truck display saying (trailer off) and (trailer on). Seems to stop after driving for a while but starts up again when I hit a brake or turn a corner. I've looked for bad connections and haven't found any. I'm guessing it's an LED block which doesn't…

Add a rear brake light for more safety!

Based on several of Revain's comments on this product, I decided to add another brake light to my Chevy Silverado. I live on a college campus and when I have 50,000+ students driving gets a little crazy during a full session. So I will do my best to become more visible. This hitch mounted brake light does just that. As others have pointed out, I've also noticed that some drivers stop further behind me than usual. I assume this is because the brake light is lowest, in the hitch, and some people…

Works best in lighting and lighting accessories

Works very well. It's bright enough to draw attention. As everyone seems to have said, it's cheap plastic. I'm honestly not sure what you want to make it out of. There's no reason to make it out of metal, it won't do any work other than sit there. I very easily backed into a pile of snow at just the right height and broke the last one I bought from a local store. :( That's why I got this, but I only broke the red plastic, the rest was fine, even the lightbulb, which is metal, wouldn't matter in

Updates to make it better!

I bought this to improve visibility. It is, but I knew the 1157 halogen wouldn't be bright enough. I bought this LED to replace it and it was the best I could find for the price: JDM ASTAR Super Bright 5730 1157 2057 2357 7528 LED Lamp Chipsets with Projector Bright Red - 2 year warranty included. I also wanted to make sure my $10 LED light bulb wasn't stolen, so I bought this hitch lock: Trimax T-3BLACK Premium 5/8" Heavy Duty BLACK Key Receiver Lock with Epoxy Powder Coating. I also needed an

Will not work in 2018 F350

Purchased for a 2018 Ford F350. I tow a 5th wheel so I don't need anything in a Class V hitch so I figured it would be a cheap safety feature when we detached from our rig. This mostly happens as the F350 is our everyday driver. First, the length of the power cord is not long enough. You need at least 4 more inches. So I had to buy a 2 foot extension and wait another week before installing it. If it is fitted to a Class IV towbar that fits into a Class V towbar as a socket, the foam compression

Cheap rear insurance

Picked this up at Walmart and was so thrilled ordered one for my son in law from Revain. Pros: - Uses a replacement standard 1157 2-filament bulb for the brake and tail lights (turns on when the headlights are on). - Easily fits my 2" hitch. - Wiring works fine on my 4-pin MDX connector. OK - The lens has a top mark that allows water to drain from the bottom through a small water channel if water gets in (just make sure you mount it correctly). Cons: It should ideally have more than 1 pin hole…
