Many other trailer lights only use one signal line. This is the main reason I ordered this unit as it has a running and separate brake light wire. However, when the package arrived I was quickly disappointed because they sent me a 2-wire device that only works with the right brake light, so flashes when your turn signals are on and obviously doesn't work in position light mode. The first light I ordered didn't work at all when I received it. I put a new bulb in and it only worked with the brake lights, not the tail lights. I called Bully and they said it should also work when the lights come on and get brighter when you hit the brakes. I sent a light back to Revane and another light was sent. Only 3 stars because firstly the foam pad is not wide enough to seal the unit to the receiver so it rattles a bit. 2.
