Review on Enhance Road Safety with Bully CR-007A Tail and Brake Light by Djuan Thompson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cheap rear insurance

Picked this up at Walmart and was so thrilled ordered one for my son in law from Revain. Pros: - Uses a replacement standard 1157 2-filament bulb for the brake and tail lights (turns on when the headlights are on). - Easily fits my 2" hitch. - Wiring works fine on my 4-pin MDX connector. OK - The lens has a top mark that allows water to drain from the bottom through a small water channel if water gets in (just make sure you mount it correctly). Cons: It should ideally have more than 1 pin hole to fit different couplers (although you'll probably have to redo it to reduce lamp space). In my case it sticks out 2 more inches from the hitch, no big deal but flush with it, it would look like an OEM for an SUV. The brake light filament burned out in the first few months of use. Luckily the bulb was easy enough to replace (standard 1157 bulb). The wiring at the connector is left exposed for easy reconnection, but really this should be covered and people who need it can rip the cable tie off if needed. You'll need to wrap your own black tape if you don't want the colored wires exposed. Other comments: - I've noticed fewer backdrops since installation. I think the bright flash of 4 brake lights makes most people give more space. - The bulb version is much brighter than the LED version (I would buy the LED version as the light lasts longer, but it's not bright enough) - Buy a combination lock fob pin so people don't run away with your cool brake light .
