Considering the "Thirstystone Coaster" and the price, I am surprised and disappointed that these nice looking coasters with finely finished cork protection DO NOT absorb moisture as hoped. Initially yes, they work well. If you use them daily like we do, you might want to consider a different product for better absorption. It only took about a month for the absorption rate of these pretty coasters to slow down. Now, after drinking an iced drink while using this coaster, I have to put it aside "to dry" and get another one. Otherwise you pick up your glass, the stand sticks to it and then falls off when you try to get the glass to you. The bottom line is that they were bought for what they could do, and they don't. However, the available models are attractive.
