Review on 🐕 Kurgo Dog Seat Belt: Tru-Fit Enhanced Tether for Car Safety Dog Harness by Leon Thompkins

Initially I tried attaching this strap to both straps which placed it closer to the buckle. If you have large dogs (two Dobermans) this really doesn't work very well. First, the place is small and crowded, and second, they roll over and get tangled in their legs. So I decided to put on the seat belt behind the seat and the shoulder belt in front of the seat. This allowed me to raise the seat belt, which solved BOTH problems. Now I am VERY happy with this harness, it seems very strong and is the perfect length now with my adjustment. my settings, it is NOT security checked. I reached out to Kurgo myself after doing a lot of research on car seat belts. I got the Kurgo swivel seat belt which is rated at £4500 (information from Kurgo). I feel like the harness is really too long and my dog flies too far forward in a fall, so I don't really like it either. I wish I hadn't spent money on any of these products at this point. My opinion now is if it doesn't have a safety rating then what's the point? My dogs are like children to me and I wouldn't put my child or grandchild in a car seat that didn't meet safety requirements, so why would I put my pet in one? Incidentally, I was made aware of these issues by a Consumer Reports article stating that Kurgo failed crash tests.
