The Celestron 52268 C90 spotting scope that I received was blurry and even that blurry image was limited to a small area that was slightly off center. There was practically nothing but darkness around the edges. Having no experience with telescopes and thinking I was doing something wrong, I asked a friend with more experience with telescopes for help and he couldn't do it any better than me. My 40 year old 7x25 compact binoculars give sharper, clearer images at any distance, including the moon at night! In addition to this scope, I purchased a Celestron 82050 TrailSeeker tripod and a Celestron 93230 zoom eyepiece in addition to the one that came with it. Both are discussed elsewhere. My goals in purchasing these Celestron products were to have the best view of the Eastern Sierra Mountains from 10-80 miles away and occasionally observe the night sky with my grandchildren. I was fully aware that I wasn't necessarily buying the best for each of these very different needs, but I felt that this volume would be enough to separate both tasks fairly well. PROS: This stuff looks pretty good - nicely finished. I was blurry PERIOD! I thought I might be doing something wrong and asked for help. Given the overwhelming amount of positive reviews, I may have gotten the lemon. However, the looseness of the assembled parts (inverter assembly and eyepiece) did not add to confidence. Tolerances are absurdly loose and hardly conducive to sharpness. COMMENTS AND CONCLUSIONS: I was very disappointed with this Celestron 52268 C90 oscilloscope and would not recommend it. I could have gotten a lemon but the quality in design and control in production is definitely lacking. Today's Celestron products don't seem to live up to Celestron's former reputation. Also, I would not recommend the Celestron 82050 TrailSeeker in combination with a C90 scope. Although other reviews have mentioned that they are combined, my experience is that this scope is too heavy for this tripod in normal use, although with very careful use I was still able to isolate the blur I was just picking on experienced with a tripod.
