Review on πŸ’Ί HON Volt Armless Task Chair, Stool, Black: Ergonomic and Stylish Office Seating Solution by Jamie Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great chair, some issues with this listing.

First off, this chair is great. It's comfortable and supportive. This is my second HON chair. They are of good quality and value. The foam padding exceeded my expectations. It's much more comfortable than my other HON chair which has a mesh seat instead of fabric/foam. The height is perfect for my standing desk (when I have to sit). I don't have any issues with the toe ring as mentioned in other reviews but that may be due to having the ring as low as possible and resting on the wheelbase. But there are a few issues preventing me from giving 5 stars. First, the listing items on this list clearly state that this chair is made in the USA. The box I received says 'Made in China' very clearly. The details section describes the tilt adjustment and synchronous tilt functions. The chair I received does not have this option. The description appears to be a generic copy/paste of all available options for the Volt range, not the exact model listed. Finally, this chair may be too tall for a regular table height (or a convertible table in a sitting position). I thought the height adjustment would allow for both, but it's pretty tight. In the lowest position, the seat is 60 cm from the floor. My standard HON Prominent office chair has a maximum height of 23 inches/58 cm, so there is no overlap between chair and chair model, but a gap of 1 inch. In the highest position, the seat is over 34 inches from the floor, which is too high for most standing desks. If you're looking for a chair that converts from a regular table height to a bar table height, this may not work for you.
