Review on Art Alternatives Hardbound Sketchbook 5 5 by Karla Richter

First of all I would like to tell you that I use this paper for both pen drawings and watercolors. This works well enough for both. As far as pen/pencil sketching goes, it's really good. Pen marks don't show through even when I use a felt tip pen. The paper is actually white. I can draw on it and know it's the same from one side to the next. The paper has a very light texture and lends itself well to my quick sketches. I will never use this paper for any of my best drawings, but I like it for sketching. I know I encourage watercolor sketches on this paper. As long as I wash fast, this paper works fine. The paper becomes damp and maintains a constant moisture content for several minutes. Eventually the water will seep out, so I'll have to limit my interference! I know I'm being a bit harsh as the paper isn't suitable for watercolors, but I wanted to let everyone know that if you really want to, you can do some simple sketches.
