The product is initially weak. The sides will collapse on it if you press too hard, rendering it unusable. If you start in the wrong place, you won't be able to finish and will have to mutilate the watermelon all over again. I even went so far as to watch a YouTube video to see if I'm using it incorrectly. I made adjustments, it didn't get much better. There's also no good ergonomic way to hold this food slicer. It's too cumbersome to try to own it while keeping the watermelon in place. This is a good way to disappoint yourself while ruining a great watermelon. Using a knife and slicing is a lot less of a hassle and less messy than this thing. In my opinion this is a waste of money.
