Review on Enhance Your HW130STB Experience with the Mediasonic Remote Control by James Conrad

I bought this device to record OTA TV shows while watching other shows on smart TV apps like Revain Firestick and others. The instructions were vague and incomplete, but I finally managed to set up the device. I had to use the second HDMI slot on my TV and set the TV remote to 'Off' instead of 'TV' for the Mediasonic remote to work. I have yet to write a program for this as I just set it up and connected an external hard drive to the USB port. One thing I noticed is that the program selector isn't even 24 hours ahead of the current time, so I have to stop recording within that time window. This device is also a little tricky to use as it has a very narrow beam detection bandwidth and its remote control needs to be pointed at just the right spot on the device. I liked the ability to remove unwanted channels so as not to clutter up my options in the channel selector window. The jury doesn't yet know how efficiently he records, the big problem is that you can't select the entries days in advance. This needs to be resolved.
