Review on 📊 Escali Alimento 136DK Ultra Accurate Scale for Kitchen, Lab or Office: Removable Platform, Digital LCD Display, 13.2lb Capacity, Stainless Steel & White by Tom Roberts

I bought this scale because of the vertical display. I had a flat scale and sometimes the item I was weighing would block the display. The display on these scales is greatly improved, but still not perfect - I have to press the 'backlight' button to read the display and I can't turn on the default backlight. Other problems: • Buttons don't work. It's very touch sensitive, I really have to press. Not always comfortable with wet hands or on a floured table. • I don't understand why the tare button is separate from the power button. My old scale tared when you pressed the power button and turned off when you held the power button down for a little bit. I'll admit this feature would probably bother me less if the buttons were more responsive. • It doesn't seem to be as accurate as my old scale. When I weigh grams, they often jump in twos. And I can't find the calibration accuracy in the manual. It's lightweight, takes up minimal space in my kitchen, and is readable regardless of my weight. But for the price (four times my previous scale!) I wish they were more powerful, more responsive and easier to use.
