I wasn't impressed. The backing paper was very thick and came rolled up in a flat rectangular box without a cardboard support tube in the middle. Needless to say, it collapsed and flattened, creating permanent ridges and creases in the material, making it very difficult to work with. So I took the time to smooth the material out under some weight first, but that didn't help. The heat helped, but applying this material to the inside of a 30-gallon plastic bucket was tedious given the stiffness of the material and its pre-existing wrinkles due to poor product dispensing. He didn't want to lie flat on the sides of the bucket. The material wanted to form a star shape inside the bucket and didn't fit the shape. The adhesive properties were pretty strong, but it tends to fold and you have to be careful not to peel off too much protective film at once or you'll spend a lot of time trying to peel it off you. like a mess of duct tape. This material came off a little better than duct tape, but it was a struggle to make sure the material didn't slide off on its own and smoothly assume its intended shape without lots of bubbles creating the typical air pockets you feel compelled to choose. Top tip - focus on laying the material flat on the pre-cleaned surface (use isopropyl alcohol) to clean the item to be bonded. Try to keep it flat and level on the surface but don't get caught on the bubbles as you can remove them later fairly easily with a hair dryer or a small plastic scraper. After all the gluing and peeling, folding, thick backing and a clear protective cellophane sheet on top, I finally managed to get the piece into my intended shape. After a few curses, everything went as smoothly as I could. Still not 100% happy with the end result of what I think should have taken minutes but ended up in hours. Working with a Vivid product is not easy. I'll try 3M next time as I've heard it's better. I do not recommend this product for all of the above reasons. Although it is ultra glossy. Good luck with your vinyl pasting projects. It was a frustrating experience for me and I finally ran out of patience when everything was done. I gave it 3 stars because the material seems durable after spending several hours trying to get it looking good with heat, squeegee and elbows. I deducted a few stars for the shipping, the thick backing material and the ease of use.
